Amanda, for her children and parents

Update: she passed in the early evening of Aug 7. The viewing is is 8/11 4-7pm, with a service at 7p.

My sister-in-law, a single mother of three, has lost her fight after a courageous battle against stage 4 colon cancer. At just 45 years old, she's leaving behind a family that's struggling to cope with the impending loss. Her parents are trying to care for her children: a 19-year-old son with autism who has the mindset of an 8-year-old and a 17-year-old daughter who struggles with her own challenges.

My wife is breaking down under the weight of grief and worry. Her doctor has put her on unpaid family medical leave for 2-4 weeks to prevent a complete emotional collapse. Meanwhile, I'm shouldering the responsibility of caring for our own three children, including an 18-year-old son with special needs who requires around-the-clock supervision and care.

We're facing an impossible decision: how to give my sister-in-law the farewell she deserves without breaking the bank. With no life insurance and limited financial resources, we're turning to our community for help. We've always been the financial safety net for our family, but now we need someone to catch us.

The situation is overwhelming. My wife is by her sister's side as she enters hospice care, and I'm managing the household, caring for our children, and trying to prepare for the arrival of our new grandchildren. Our oldest son and his girlfriend are expecting twins, and they'll probably be moving in with us soon, adding to the chaos.

In the midst of this turmoil, I'm asking for help to cover my sister-in-law's funeral expenses. We've done everything we can, but we need your support to get through this. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring us closer to giving her the farewell she deserves.

I know that this is a lot to ask, but I'm desperate to ensure that my sister-in-law's family can focus on grieving and healing without the added burden of financial stress. If you're able to contribute, please consider donating to our cause. Your kindness will mean the world to us during this difficult time.

I know the goal said $3k, but it's actually $6k. This includes a viewing (and then cremation) so we can try to explain to her special needs son where mommy went, instead of her just going to sleep and then returning a few weeks later in an urn.
