Supporting the smith family through loss illness and care

Edit : it is with great sadness we inform you all that Jamie succumbed to his illnesses yesterday afternoon around 2:30pm peacefully in his sleep surrounded by friends and family and his beloved wife who loved him dearly . At this time more than ever we are desperate to raise funds to support Simone and Jackson thru this extremely difficult and heartbreaking time .

We’re asking for your help to support the Smith family, Jamie, Simone and 5 year old Jackson, during one of the most difficult times of their lives.

In only a short period of time, the family have experienced a lifetime of loss and heartache, and unfortunately will endure more in the coming months.

Jamie’s mum, Jackson’s Grandma, Caroline, passed away suddenly last week. The family are grieving, all the while dealing with the worry of not having the funds to give Caroline the funeral she deserves.

At the same time, Jamie has been extremely unwell with liver disease over the past few years. He has been on the waiting list for a liver transplant for 3 months.

Devastatingly, he has recently been diagnosed with terminal bone cancer, so far spread that he has been taken off the transplant list. He has very limited time to spend with his beautiful wife Simone, and 5 year old son, Jackson, who both have disabilities themselves.

Simone, who has cerebral palsy and an intellectual disability will soon be left alone to care for their son, Jackson, who has Autism and is non-verbal.

Between mounting medical bills, ongoing care, and the daily needs of their child, this young family is stretched to the brink—emotionally, physically, and financially. They do not have the money to pay for the basics, nor Caroline’s funeral, let alone to spend on quality time together as a family before Jamie passes.

We are asking for donations, big or small, to support this deserving family. Any gift will go towards:

* Funeral costs for Jamie’s mother, Caroline

* Funeral planning costs for Jamie

* Medical and therapy expenses for all 3 family members

* Funds for the family to put towards household bills, rent, groceries and necessities for Jackson

Any gift, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden this family is suffering, at a time that should be spent making lasting memories.
