Hello my name is Amanda and this is the start off my cancer journey.

It all started ten weeks ago I had a full hysterectomy and about six weeks into my recovery I decided to have my stitches checked . The doctor said everything was fine but he felt my stomach and noticed it was a bit hard he said have i noticed this before I said no as I work out heaps and I thought I was finally getting some abs forming let's face it mother of seven abs dont come easy lol. So the doctor asked me to go have a scan on my gallbladder within hours I had my doctor calling me saying I have cancer .My first thought ...No way it's got to be a mistake im 47 fit healthy it can't be true he said im sorry I need to see you . Not knowing what to expect my whole life has changes dramatically in the last 5 weeks specialist . scans blood tests hospital stays and now surgery in two weeks time and kemo treatment after . Doctors have informed us its a 50 /50 chance of surviving the 12 hour surgery I have been diagnosed with a rare tumor its 10cm big and it's called a neuroendocrine tumor of the pancreas . I had to end my cleaning business. As I couldn't continue with my condition . Home from the hospital is 2hours away and this mentally takes it toll on me as its hard for anyone to visit being too far away and family not being able to afford accommodation or time away from work in this time of covid .

I'm struggling financially and I'm not sure what comes next I don't expect anything of anyone I'd like to thank all the beautiful people in my life for all your warm prayers I have received
