Please Help Amanda and Theo Drive Safely
Donation protected
Hey everyone, thank you for your willingness to help simply by reading my statement. I am aware that times are tough for all. There isn't a single person I know who isn’t struggling in some way. I have no other option at this time but to ask for your help. Some of you may already know that my son Theo is chronically ill with Ulcerative Colitis. He has been doing monthly biologic infusions of Remicade at Good Samaritan Hospital for roughly a year now and it’s going quite well. I spend a lot of time on the road getting Theo to other appointments as well because he is active in an alternative educational community in San Jose. Anyone who lives in a rural community knows that public transportation is far from abundant. I rely on my vehicle for every run to the market, pharmacy, classes, meetings, extracurriculars, events, etc. My car is in dire need of some major repairs and until I can fix it I cannot smog or register it. Without a reliable vehicle I will have no way to maintain any of the crucial day to day life obligations. Which I fear will further impact the rest of our already financially tenuous existence. I am struggling on a small fixed income of $42 a day while I am mothering on my own, attending graduate school, inching towards a career and ultimately better financial standing. While I am putting in the hard work, I am not in a position as of yet to reap the financial rewards of my chosen career path. I am trying to stay positive yet I am constantly riddled with anxiety over how to solve this conundrum. I have exhausted every resource at this point…
Any amount you are willing to donate helps me reach my goal as repairing my vehicle is vital to our livelihood. Your help would be a tremendous gift to get us through this tough period. Thank you for your kindness and consideration.
