Hi my name is Amina Faye and I'm fundraising for a very dear friend of mine named Amadou. Amadou is 28 years old and lives in Senegal. He is passionate about music, people and he LOVES soccer. I've known Amadou for 5 years and in all that time I've known him to be one of the kindest, gentlest souls.

About a month ago Amadou was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (Mandibular cancer). Essentially this means that Amadou has a cancerous tumour in his lower jaw. This cancer is rare and in fact it only effects 4% of the population. This type of cancer is painful, aggressive, and quickly spreads to other regions of the body if left untreated. The good news is that in Amadou's case the cancer hasn't spread to any other region, which gives him a slight chance of beating this diagnosis.

 In order for Amadou to beat his cancer diagnosis, he will have to undergo surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. Due to the invasive nature of the extraction of the tumor, doctors will need to reconstruct his jaw. Once the surgery is finished he will then have to undergo many sessions of chemo to rid his body of the cancer.

 This process will be long, painful, and unfortunately very costly. With your help I am looking to raise money to help with all of the costs associated with this cancer diagnosis. Hi Everyone here to update you all on Amadou's health. He underwent surgery last month. They were successful in removing as much of the tumor as they could. Now Amadou has to under go more chemo and Radiation for the rest of the tumor that they weren't able to extract. The cancer is agressive and even with some of it being extracted it is posing a major threat to Amadous health and well being. Please continue to share, donate and pray for Amadou.
