The Macom Family Fund

Thank you for supporting the Macom family! As some of you know, last February Alicia was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer and quickly took action with a double mastectomy. While seemingly on the road to recovery, Alicia knew something still wasn't right. Doctors quickly confirmed that a new mass in her lymph node was cancerous. Now diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, Alicia is about 1/3 of the way through 52 weeks of intense treatment including chemo, surgery and radiation. Through all of this, Alicia has been unbelievably strong, brave and continues to be a rock for her family. Supported by John, the boys, their extended family and friends, Alicia has attempted to maintain a "normal" life for her family despite the many challenges. However, there is nothing normal or fair about this.
I have set up this Go Fund Me page for the Macom family to help alleviate some of the financial burden from the additional medical and childcare expenses. Social Security has denied Alicia disability benefits mainly because she been busy being a great and caring mom to her 3 boys for the last 6½ years.
Alicia and John are loved by many and they are humbled by the support received so far. So please help if you can – every bit helps. Thanks again for your continued support and prayers.
