Love for Olivia

On October 9th, 2019 my daughter and her husband welcomed their little girl Olivia Cheyenne Thompson. Olivia was born with Down syndrome as well as several heart defects. Jasmine and Kerry were aware she would be born with both Down syndrome and her heart defects but they were unaware of the severity of these and that her entrance into this world would be as difficult as it has been. Olivia has spent her entire life in the NICU. When she was 11 days old she was life flighted to Denver due to infections, and the hospital in Colorado Springs could not provide the life saving options that Olivia was getting closer to needing. On November 5th Olivia underwent her first of several open heart surgeries, in hopes it would give her a chance to breath with less support. Olivia continues struggling making significant progress. They have no idea when she will be able to come home, and everyday seems to add more time to her stay. With the cost of driving to Denver everyday due to them having two other children to care for, as well as the cost of medical bills that have begun to trickle in, I have started this fundraiser in hopes we can relieve some of the financial burden for them while they try to navigate through this tough time in their lives.
