Help me help my family-Daryl Barton
Donation protected
Besides my medical issues themself, this is the hardest thing I've had to do. There is not much I can do to help my family out, but asking for help is one thing I can do. Since I stopped working before my surgery, my family had been in a constant financial struggle. With the help of some strangers and some family memeber, we were able to make it through last year but times are really tough. It's hard for me to sit hear and watch the physical and mental burden of my wife as she tries to figure out how and what bills we can pay each month. Last month we got a shut off notice for our electric. This month we are being notifed of a lien being put on our house for our water/sewer bills that are behind. My wife has also had to put off medical testing that her doctor ordered due to the money not being there. We've accepted so much money from her family, as if I don't feel like less of a man as it is, I just can't ask her family for more money without trying to reach out to my family as well. As this whole ordeal has taken such a toll on our family, marriage, etc., I've been trying to get out of the house with my family more often. The wheelchair carrier that was donated to us does not have a ramp so my wife is constantly toteing around a 75 pound portable ramp to get me to my kids sporting events which is killing her due to her carpal tunnel and tennis elbows in both arms. We'd like to purchase a new carrier that has a ramp connected to it to make it easier for me to be part of the family outings. Again, this is such a hard thing for me to do, but it's harder for me to sit here and do nothing and leave all burdens to my wife. I know financial times are hard for everyone right now, I understand that, but any little bit of financial help you could offer will be a huge help for my family.
