Am I Adopted?: Documentary Fundraiser

Am I Adopted? is an upcoming 10-minute QUT graduate documentary documenting the story of Helen Hynd as she recalls the story of finding out later in life that she was adopted. Determined to find her biological parents, she begins the search and details the journey she went through to find them.

Helen always knew things weren't quite right beginning around the age of 13 when she asked her mother for her birth certificate. Expecting a simple answer, she was confused when she was met with vague and uncertain responses eventually prompting her mother to send her to her room. Helen then knew from that day on something wasn't quite right but that her parents would never tell her what it was.

Almost 20 years later, Helen receives a phone call: 'Helen, you're adopted.'
