Alzheimer's Scholarship Fund - Maria Trevino

A scholarship fund will be set-up in memory of Maria Trevino for families who are coping with Alzheimer's. The scholarship fund will aid students that attended Hogg or Hamilton middle schools. The Trevino family would like to encourage everyone that in lieu of flowers, family and guests consider contributing to the Maria Trevino Alzheimer's Scholarship Fund.

Ms. Trevino retired from the Houston Independent School District after working as a school custodian at both Hamilton and Hogg Middle schools. The Trevino family quickly realized that Alzheimer's is a type of dementia that impacts memory, thinking and behaviors. There is currently no cure for this progressive disease that burdens families physically, mentally, and economically, due to the type of nurturing and care needed for the person suffering from Alzheimer's.
