It takes a lot for one to ask for help but help often doesn't come to those who don't typically ask. Our momma was not only a public servant but one who would give to those in dire need. We kindly ask for your help, thoughts and prayers as we navigate through these uncharted waters.
On February 6th, 2023, mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia. It has been very difficult to find this terrible disease had found its way into her life. Before mom's diagnosis, numerous indications led us to find memory care placement to prioritize her safety and enhance her quality of life.
Gladys served her community for forty-plus years as a tribal police officer. Many would agree that she was always giving and ensured that no one was left in distress. She continues to be her ever-giving self even on some of her toughest days. We remember and cherish the good memories with her and we continue to create new ones even when they're temporary.
Your help will not go unnoticed and assisting us with her care will forever be greatly appreciated. The day she was told about her diagnosis she said "getting old surely does suck". With that little chuckle, we knew that she'd continue fighting this disease regardless if it was an uphill battle.
Our warmest regards,
