Alyssa Jacey's 10th album!

Hi, Blue Crew! Whew...I just took a huge deep breath, before I started typing. This is so hard for me to say, yet at the same time, I couldn't be filled with more happiness and excitement! Odd combination, right?

 

I'm here because I'm raising funds to record and release my 10th...and final album as an independent artist.

 

I've chosen 22 songs that together cover just about every genre there is, minus screaming heavy metal, trap and polka. Seriously. We're talkin' Spanish guitar, ukulele, possibly sitar, horns, keys, guitars, different types of bass and drums, pop, pop/country, country, blues, R&B, rap, folk, singer/songwriter, Americana and some songs that mix a handful of these together, all in one. EIGHT of us co-producing to make each track so unique and of it's own world; usually it's just me and one other person, but I'm goin' for broke with this, baby!

 

If these were going to be the last lyrics ever heard by Alyssa Jacey, what would I want to say? If these were the last songs I ever recorded, what would I want them to sound like? And the answer is simple; they HAVE to move my listeners. They HAVE to inspire them, in one way or another. That's it, there's no other way.

 

You've believed in me for a long time. You've gotten me through the last 17 years in what is one of the most rollercoaster of career choices one could have chosen to be in.

 

So, I'm here, humbly asking if you would kindly consider donating to my final project. I need to raise $22,222.22 by February 22nd, 2022 so I can get the recording process underway! Filming and editing this video has been so fun and I hope it inspires you to want to be a part of what I'm certain will be the biggest musical splash I will have ever made. Why am I doing this? In part, to save my music career. Not that it "needs saving," so to speak, but I'm a believer in fate. Fate brought me into this career and I want to know if I'm meant to stay in it after all these years and I believe this "last" album is going to be the answer. I'm doing this also, in part, because I want to focus more on helping others and inspiring them to live their dreams, hence my inspirational career coaching business, I Am Unashamedly Me . I just turned a couple weeks ago 40; life is short and I want to spend the rest of my life inspiring as much as I can and as many people as I can. My purpose on this earth is to inspire and I can do more of that by releasing these 22 songs as well as putting more time and effort into coaching others.

 

Thank you for being a part of my journey. Thank you for believing in me! It was 17 years ago this month when a co-worker heard me singing to myself and said, "You should try karaoke." That's how my entire career started. 1 year later, I found myself writing songs. A month after that, my first EP released. 10 months later I picked up a guitar. 3 weeks later, I played my first show. 6 months later, I celebrated my 100th show by playing with a full-band for the first time. Then my single(s) were played on local radio. Then I played at the fair. Then local TV and radio stations were interviewing me. That lead to recording more, picking up the drums, touring nationally, opening for big names like Bruno Mars, moving to Nashville on January 10th, 2012, getting nominated "Best Live Performer" at the Nashville Independent Music Awards 13 months later, touring Internationally with residencies in Ireland and Sweden for both music and motivational speaking gigs and today, I'm standing before you with nearly 4,000 self-booked gigs under my belt, 10 years and counting donating portions of ticket and merch sales to the Alzheimer's Association, 9 albums and a heart so full, I can barely stand up straight. THIS was the album I was BORN to make. THIS is what 17 years in the music industry...and in life...sounds like. It is my wish, my hope, my DREAM that you join me in making this last part of my musical dream come true. Thank you!
