By the Grace of God, after a scary 5 days Alyssa and Troy Jenkins had their first baby girl Elora Mae Jenkins; but she was born 9 weeks early.

For the first two weeks of this precious baby girls life, mommy and daddy didn’t even get to hold her! Thankfully she continues to progress but she still has a little way to go before they can bring her home!

As a mother of 3 whose third was born premature I couldn’t imagine having to navigate this as a first time mom. My entire mama heart goes out to these two and any other families who’ve experienced something similar.

Im raising funds for this family so that during this difficult transition their attention can be focused solely on their baby; not the costs associated with being able to be there for her, in Kingston, 2.5 hours away from their life and home in Boulter.

Every family deserves to feel safe and secure and present while they watch their little one grow and even though the circumstances for this family are not how they imagined it, every day is bitter sweet. Having a baby in the NICU is isolating and lonely and it’s really, really hard … please help me, help them so they know in their hearts that they aren’t struggling alone.
