Hi! My name is Alyssa Renaud, I am 18 years old and I am Miss teen Plymouth county 2025 for the miss Massachusetts USA pageant in June. As the second oldest of 10, my siblings are what's closest to my heart, in the past few years two of my siblings were diagnosed with autism, And as someone who was in the special needs program at school myself I'm aware of the stigma that surrounds it. being in this program I and many others were subject to a lot of teasing from other students. Remembering those times and thinking about how my younger siblings could go through the same and more rips my heart into shreds. currently I'm a psychology major with a focus on autism spectrum disorder in adolescents. I’m also starting training to be an ABA behavior technician this week! My hope is that with my experience and knowledge, and newfound influence I hope to start breaking the negative stereotypes and stigmas around autism. I will use my influence to travel to many schools around the county and hopefully put an end to the negative treatment of the children in all special needs programs. Furthermore i would like to self publish a book dedicated to my sister Mariah who was diagnosed with autism. Showing autism in a light that’s more positive than negative is a very important part to my cause. I really hope to not only reach my county or my state but hopefully the country with my message and love. However, I can not do this without your help. Anything and everything big and small donations go a very long way.
Thank you.
Your donations will be used to fund my participation in the pageant, fund any purchases for the pageant (crown, sash, activewear, formal, and opening dress and more) it will also fund travel expenses.
and no the little guy in the picture has nothing to do with anything. I just wanted to show him off
