Alyssa Morrissey's Kidney Transplant & Dialysis

We kindly ask for support and assistance for Alyssa Morrissey, our very beloved family member and friend.

Some of Alyssa’s best traits are her positive, bubbly, happy, and energetic personality and her kind and God-loving spirit. Her giving spirit has touched many of us in one way or another over the years. Now I ask that it be our turn to return her kindness and generosity.

As you might know, Alyssa has battled with Type 1 Diabetes and Lupus for almost her entire life. As a direct result, she developed CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) that has worsened over a short span of time to the point that her kidneys do not work well enough to keep her alive. Alyssa will now start the long and challenging process of going on the kidney transplant list and finding a donor to allow her to live a longer and fuller life at just 32 years old. Her kidneys will most likely not be able to make it through this long and trying waiting period, so she will need to start dialysis.

Alyssa has a fierce, fighting spirit that has helped her face many years of adversities and health struggles. But she has a significant purpose in this life that has kept her going: being a mother. Alyssa's 4 year old daughter Elsie means everything to her and is her reason "why". Her fight. Her fire. Alyssa deserves to live as happy and full of a life as she can with her daughter while waiting for a kidney and traveling to University of Pennsylvania hospital multiple times a week for dialysis. 

Besides her biggest passion (being a Mom), Alyssa is also highly passionate about her art and small business @More I See Designs. She hopes to do everything she can to keep her art alive through these challenging times.

So we are asking for your help. Any donation, no matter how small, would be very appreciated by Alyssa and her family. All proceeds will help relieve financial burdens, living expenses, and travel expenses. They will also go towards her desire to pursue online art courses, which will allow her to keep her art passion alive, as she won’t physically be able to work during this time.
