Alyssa & Jene's Panama Mission Trip

Our church is planning a mission trip to Panama from June 30, 2016 through July 12, 2016 for high-school-age young people and our daughter Alyssa is hoping to go. The group was also in need of an additional interpreter. After taking this request to the Lord in prayer, it appears that He has opened doors for our niece Jene (Tia’s daughter), who is graduating from college this June with a degree in Spanish, to join her cousin on the trip.
They will be going to the eastern mountains of Panama and working among the Ngobe-Bugle Indians. They are some of the poorest people in Central America and have many needs. As you know Mikey went last year and it changed his life! Julie and I want to express our appreciation again to those of you who contributed to his trip! This group will be going to finish the projects Mikey’s group started last year, building a church and school.
Alyssa and Jene are excited about going on this trip. The cost of the trip is $1,400 per person, which means we need to raise $2,800 for both of them to go. So far, through selling Papa Johns Fundraising cards and a car wash, Alyssa has raised about $500 towards her trip. But we still have a long way to go in a short amount of time.
