Alyssa Hosein - Memoriam - for Faith and Iris

Many would correctly describe Alyssa as sweet, beautiful, strong and energetic with a loving soul. She was just 24 years old when she was taken from us. She struggled with Mental Health issues as well as Alcohol Addiction which she tried to beat on numerous occasions; whether willingly or not, she always fought to battle these diseases as hard as she could as she was determined to be the best mother, daughter, sister and friend; however she would always succumb to the addiction. She was the mother of two beautiful young girls, Faith (7) and Iris (1) Up until recently Alyssa was doing much better with her battles and began taking up responsibilities with Faith and making positive life decisions. She was enrolled in the Medical Administration Program at Sheridan College which she was excited and eager to pursue to get her life on track and to be a better provider for her kids. Unfortunately this latest relapse would be her last. She now no longer has to suffer the battles of Alcoholism and Mental Instability but leaves behind Faith and Iris in a world without their mom. We set up this GoFundMe in Alyssa’s memory to assist with Funeral expenses and more importantly for the sake of her kids, to put towards their future education and to make an awareness of the reality of these diseases and how it affects our lives and families. Our hope is that someday it will only be a thing of the past.
