Dear Family and Friends,
This winter, I have the opportunity to travel to Hawaii to participate in a One Love Skate ministry internship. While there,my goal will be working to spread the word and love of God through skate ministry. 1L’s internship program is designed to provide exposure, experience, and education necessary to build a foundation for my calling. I will be building community within the church, with the opportunity to participate in a life groups. I will also be apart of changing the lives of others in the community by serving through one love skate and partnering up with other organizations.
I will be traveling December 30th through April 1st and the expenses to do so are $4,000. I am in need of donations of any kind to help pay the necessary costs for this trip. If you can help support me in this journey in any way I will be very grateful. In order to purchase tickets and make the necessary travel plans, the full cost of my trip will be due December 14th . I am being called to spread the love of God and I am praying that that our organization will be able to change people’s lives through this project. Another thing I would like to ask you to do is pray for me and the relationships I will be building throughout this journey. Your prayers and donations make a tremendous difference and will also make this trip possible.
I’m also asking all of my friends and family to pray for me and my team in Maui. This is the most important aspect for the success of my trip. Please pray that our team will be able to serve people well and build relationships that bring glory to God. Thank you so much for considering my request and for whatever you can contribute.

You can donate to my Maui trip in two ways:
1) Visit www.hopeshelby.org and click on the G IVE link at the top of the page. Be sure to select the Missions fund from the drop-down box when you give your donation. Also, you will need to call or text Matt carsner, the missions pastor at Hope Community Church, at [phone redacted] to tell him the name of the person you are supporting and the amount given. By calling or texting him, he can be sure your donation is marked appropriately.
2) Make a check payable to H ope Community Church with Maui Missions in the memo. Please do not put the name of the person you are supporting on the check. If you, the donation will not be eligible for a charitable tax deduction at the end of the year. Instead, include a separate note with the name of the person you are choosing to support. You can send the check to the address below:
