Early this morning, tragedy struck when a fire destroyed the apartments of my nieces, Alyssa and Jenna. The fire spread quickly, affecting 8 units in total. Alyssa's boyfriend, Morgan, was home asleep when he woke up to smoke filling the building. He rushed to alert the other apartments and, thankfully, no one else was home. Jenna had just left with Eli, her brother, and niece, Alyssa's daughter, to go to the dentist.

In the chaos, Morgan bravely tried to save Alyssa and Jenna’s two beloved dogs, but heartbreakingly, they did not survive. The sisters, who lived next door to one another, lost everything they owned in the fire. Their homes, belongings, and memories are gone in an instant.

Right now, Alyssa and Jenna are starting over from nothing. They are in urgent need of the basics—clothing, household essentials, and supplies to begin rebuilding their lives.
