Alyson would never ask for help so we are asking for her.

After multiple surgeries and medical issues, Dom has been in the hospital for the past month. Alyson has been paying to stay in local hotels or driving back and forth between Niagara and Toronto so he won’t be alone. She is Dom’s main support and favourite person. We will tell you where it all began…

Dom and Alyson met 14 years ago when she was a volunteer at a local hospital. Dom was a reserved child who preferred to play independently. He recognized something we have all come to know and that is her beautiful heart. After being discharged, his new group home encouraged the relationship which blossomed into a beautiful friendship! They have shared beach days, Jays games, trips to the library and park, subway rides for fun, plays, splash pads and even a trip to Niagara Falls. They share a love of reading, being outside and music. Their friendship may be unconventional but it’s filled with reciprocal love, kindness, joy- they are soul mates on this earth.

As a Social Worker and Yoga Teacher, Alyson holds space and helps so many people. She would never ask for this kind of help, but we know she needs it.

We are looking to raise funds to cover hotel costs, gas, food and missed employment.
