My name is Alyshia, and I’m reaching out for help for myself and my family. Our house is very old and every year it gets more and more broken down. The roof is in desperate need of replacement, and our electricity needs to be checked and fixed to keep us safe. We don’t have a car, so we rely on taxi services or the kindness of others just to get groceries or make it to medical appointments. Because of this, I haven’t been able to get a job to start my own life or help my mom.

My mom has fibromyalgia and severe arthritis, which means she’s disabled and unable to work. My father passed away when I was little, and now it’s just me, my mom, and my 83-year-old grandfather living together. I want to be able to support my family, and having a bicycle would allow me to get to a job and bring in the extra income we so desperately need.

Getting help with these repairs and transportation would lift so many burdens from my mom’s shoulders. We wouldn’t have to worry about the house flooding when it rains, and I could finally start working to help provide for us. Thank you for any help you can give.
