My name is Briana Rogers and I am trying to raise money to help a dear friend of mine. I have known her since we were both in training to become flight attendants. She was such a blessing in training and so helpful to all around her. She has a beautiful heart and has been through so much in her life and now she is going through one of her toughest times yet. I want to try and come together for her right now and raise any little bit I can for her and the baby. I know it’s financially a tough time for everyone but any little bit will help her and she will be forever grateful. Here is a little of what’s going on with her in her own words. Alysha has given me permission to share her story and create the go fund me. Below please see a brief summary of her story.
“ First, I want to say thank you for all of the prayers and messages. I still have yet to go through them all as I wanted to thank each and every one of you. I am not one to put my business out there for anyone and I usually suffer alone. This has been one of the scariest and exhausting weekends of my life.
My back story is I had two miscarriages and then was told I was not able to have my own children due to medical reasons. I cried for two years and have battled feeling defective for years. Then out of no where a week after I turned 42, I found out I was pregnant with my daughter.
I am 28 weeks and had to be rushed to the hospital late Saturday night almost at midnight due to bleeding. There I was poked, prodded, then admitted. Come to find out I was in preterm labor dialated, 50 effaced and they weren’t sure if contractions were going to get worse or dialation continue. I was given the Beta and then a 12 hour drip of magnesium which knocked me flat. Not to mention the bleeding wasn’t stopping yet the back aches and migraines killed me.
I am also dealing with aggressive precancerous cells on my cervix which is most likely the cause of the changes in my cervix rushing my pregnancy. I am basically straddling a fine line and have to rest etc. I do have a copolscopy/biopsy on Friday which could further efface my cervix... but needs to be done to give me my timeline for treating the cervical cells attacking me.
Not to mention that I also fell at the hospital and had to land hard on my left side. Thank goodness I didn’t fall directly in my stomach and she is doing ok and nothing ruptured and my fluid is still good. But I am kinda banged up and bruised.
I must say that this is one of the hardest times to be dealing with something like this and I am so thankful that you ladies took time out of your days to message me and send me prayer. I truly cried with all of the support I received. I am determined to figure out a way to make it through this time even though I wake up crying everyday. Financially I have taken
A huge hit and don’t know what the future will bring, but the encouragement you all shared with me carries me higher. Thank you all again for lifting my spirits. I will keep y’all posted if you want... and thank you again for giving me hope when I felt that all was lost.”
