Aly, a widow & mother of 4, is in need of immediate surgery to remove an infection of materials from her recent surgery in November.

The procedure is medically necessary to prevent further complications, including the infection spreading to her brain. She has a preexisting condition and has a shunt near her infection.

Aly has been blessed with a local doctor willing to donate all of the follow-up care, a surgeon whose schedule has changed to operate immediately, and her sister who is able to come this week to care for her and the kids.

Funds are quite challenging right now after paying for her recent surgery out of pocket, along with an unexpected diagnosis for her daughter, New Year deductibles, and the other difficulties of widowhood and single parenting.

If funds were available, surgery could be scheduled Thursday, which is as soon as possible. The out-of-pocket cost to her would be $5800, depending on what the surgeon finds.
