I recently directed my 1st film, "Watercolors," which was completed with funding by private donations, of which we are so appreciative, and grateful for the support and enthusiasm of so many.
I'm in 2nd fundraising stage to enter post-production & hire the level of editors, color grader, music supervisors, etc that will make the film stand out to future producers, industry network, film festivals, etc.
Please check my Instagram account (@talentedmsripley)for a multitude of behind the scenes and production shots- most of which were taken by accplained photographer, Jeffrey Barnes. They provide not only a look into the story and characters but the skilled crew and unique locations that brought "Watercolors" to life. I've uploaded a few of them here, as well.
Plot: A young woman wakes up on a bed, alone, in a large, expensive, modern home. Around this home are posters/diagrams sitting on tripods and taped onto walls... of science equations, phrasing, and visuals. We believe her to be kidnapped and she is...but not for traditional reasons. For months, a professor/scientist has been trailing her b/c of her educational background & interest in time travel. He keeps her at his house because he needs her to learn the information he's amassed and his secret: he's discovered 2 ways to time travel & needs her partnership. On the day we meet Nancy, the scientist is gone, and she's forced to face her self-doubts, lack of confidence, recent alcoholism, and belief in time travel head on.
Short films position a burgeoning filmmaker to move forward, establishing an aesthetic & proving he/she can direct a cast/crew esp for when approaching large media companies to pitch feature film ideas and request production help.
I could truly use your help in bringing this film through its post-production stages. Any donation is INCREDIBLY appreciated, notated, and I'm beyond grateful to those who want to help me bring my long-term film goals to actualization.
THANK YOU!
