Always Read the Fine Print Tiktoker Thesis Fund

After spending about ten years teaching middle school, I finally took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in a film school graduate program. I graduate in April and I’m seeking funding for my final film. This is a passion project about growing up in inner-city Miami in the 1960s/70s as a Black, gay, poor young man. This film will be focused on the relationship between a mother and her teenage son.

Logline: One woman’s struggle with anxiety and her teenage son’s sexuality in 1960s inner city of Miami.

The funding will cover costumes, set pieces, permits, catering, PPE, props, payment for the director, editing and insurance.
