In 2005, my family and I tragically lost Erin Amber Young, my aunt and godmother, due to domestic violence. My siblings and I called her "Auntie Een". I was only 18 months old at the time of her passing, so I was stripped of the ability to form a real relationship with her. Nearly 20 years later, I want to create a beautiful, touching film in her memory, which can help honor and bring light to her loving spirit.

ABOUT ME

My name is Peyton Carson, and I am the writer, director, producer, and lead actor of "Always". I am a 21-year-old actor and filmmaker based in Philadelphia & NYC, currently training and maturing my craft at the widely acclaimed acting school, Playhouse West-Philadelphia. Erin was my Dad's sister, and to me, my aunt and godmother.

ABOUT "ALWAYS"

Logline: A grieving young man and his mother search for meaning after the tragic, unexpected passing of his sister.

Essentially, this film is meant to express the premise that love doesn't have to end just because life does. At my acting school, Playhouse West, one of the key aspects of our training is digging deep on a personal level to see what you connect with the strongest emotionally; as a result of this, I have since found myself gravitating toward my Auntie Een on a spiritual level, leading me now to want to create something beautiful in her memory. Additionally, it will mark the 20th anniversary of her passing in August.

WHERE WILL THE MONEY GO?

20% of funds earned past our initial goal of $1,600 will go towards the Pennsylvania Coalition of Domestic Violence.
