Alva's legal fees for the home office

You may or may not know that your friend Alva is stateless. She has lived in a precarious limbo for decades and the UK is the only home she knows. She recently decided to take steps to rectify this. The grim thing is that the very process of attempting to finally some get stability could cost her everything, her job her house, her country of residence. She's coping but she is scared. The thought of her getting shipped off to Serbia or Singapore having lived in Britain for over 30 years is also a potential outcome. Now she has to employ immigration lawyers to ensure this doesn't happen. She has not asked for help but I know she is going to really struggle with her legal fees. I think we should help her. I've said 2000 but I have no idea how much she actually needs so if we can get more then great! EDIT: I've checked, it looks like everywhere says it is around 3500 so I've upped the target. She does not know I've set this up.
