Hi everyone. My name is Omar Quiroz. There is no easy way to even begin speaking about this, but unfortunately, my father Alvaro passed away from natural causes on November 9.

For those of you who knew my dad, he was a very shy and simple man who loved to eat healthy, paint and create intricate woodwork portraits.

He and my mother, Migdonia, emigrated to Canada more than 30 years ago to start a new life. Since coming to Canada, my dad has never returned home to Colombia - but was slowly preparing to enjoy his Golden Years in his native country.

My dad was a fantastic man. He was caring, curiously adventurous, and always stood by my mom and I.

I am asking for your support with this unexpected costs and arrangements. Your donation will also be put towards transporting my father’s remains to Colombia where he will finally return to the place that watched him grow.
