Alvan Flowers

Hello,

My name is Tené Flowers and along with my sister and mother, I am asking you for your help. The chubby faced cherub on my mom’s lap is my brother Alvan Flowers. He was the only boy and though the youngest, our protector.

For many, Alvan has been a brother, friend, uncle - but no matter the title, Alvan was kind, loving, and present.

Last year, Alvan was diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer. In his fashion, he took the diagnosis with optimism and great hope for a full recovery. His strength in the face of such an imposing illness was something to behold. Alvan continued over the past year being involved in his family and friends lives -no matter what.

Yesterday, after a full year of battling the demon of cancer, God said “Enough, well done my son.” Alvan passed away at home, surrounded by his family and is now free from disease, pain, and strife.

Unfortunately, due to his diagnosis, Alvan was unable to secure life insurance to aid in his final accommodations and while my family and I are willing to do whatever it takes, we humbly ask for your assistance.
