From the Alumni Association of Glion (AAG), the Les Roches Alumni Association (LRAA) and the students of Glion, Les Roches and École Ducasse to Beirut. We are one family.

Dear Glion, Les Roches and École Ducasse family,

In the past few weeks and following the devastating explosion that took place in the Port of Beirut, Lebanon, many of you have been in contact with us and one another, to discuss the humanitarian crisis and the ways in which we can all help.

The explosion that took place on the 4th August, adjacent to the soulful bustling city centre, was immense and unimaginably destructive.  It caused over 200 fatalities and over 7000 injuries.  It tore down and obliterated thousands of houses and buildings and rendered over 300,000 people homeless.

We listened to your heart-felt care and concern and were moved by the many requests to extend financial aid to those in need in Lebanon.  This inspired us to create this crowdfunding page.  A dedicated, transparent and seamless initiative, where all donations are transferred to two highly active and trusted NGOs, in Lebanon.  These NGOs are hard at work rebuilding the lives and homes of those directly impacted by the explosion:  Arcenciel and Les Plus Beaux Villages du Liban.

Arcenciel is a Lebanese non-profit organization which mission in Lebanon has been to promote diversity, integration and development through 5 core programs: Agriculture & Environment, Mobility & Health, Responsible Tourism, Youth Empowerment, and Social Support. The response to the Beirut blast started with social support, medical aid, furniture provision and glass recuperation for recycling. Today, they have extended their support to the rehabilitation of residential homes and heritage and cultural landmarks.

Les Plus Beaux Villages du Liban (PBVL) is a Lebanon heritage focused NGO which main purpose is the preservation  of traditional Lebanese architectural and cultural heritage and identity. They are participating in the reconstruction of Beirut Heritage buildings in the aftermath of the devastating explosion to ensure the swift return of tenants to their homes in turn preserving the social fabric of the city.

We invite you all to dig deep and help where you can. The crisis is far from over and we want to ensure that the people of Beirut - our family and friends in Beirut, have not been forgotten.

Thank you for all your support,
