One of our own Weston soccer families (U14 girls) is in need:  On Feb 25th, Caroline Altamirano's parents, Beatrice and Rolen,  were accosted by a man burgling their firewood.  While waiting for the police to arrive, the man attacked them with a baseball bat and beat them up so badly that they both ended up in hospital.  Beatrice suffered a broken skull with staples all over her skull and Rolen was in ICU requiring emergency brain surgery.   

They are both home now and unable to work.  Beatrice suffers from head pain, possible concussion and a hand injury.  Rolen is under continued doctors' care and may have permanent loss of sight in one eye.   

As they recover, we are raising funds to help them for 2 months until they can hopefully go back to work.  Let's all help them recover with fewer worries during this difficult time.
