Altamira Academy is a tuition-free, STEM-focused, college-preparatory charter school in Austin, TX. Like so many schools, Altamira Academy is moving into remote learning due to COVID-19. Altamira Academy is also a Title 1 school, meaning we have a large concentration of students in low-income families.
A percentage of our students currently don't have access to any type of laptop or tablet to use for remote learning. Your donation will go towards the purchase of Chromebooks that can be loaned to these students.
With school starting August 12th, we are operating with a quickness!
Every student deserves the best education they can get, and having the right tools is massively important! At Altamira Academy, our motto is All Means ALL, and we want to support every scholar and their educational needs.
In the event of any excess funds, those funds will be donated to the Altamira Academy PTA, for use in the general fund.
