On Jan 4, 2015 my grandfather Alta Vernon Hood passed away. For the last 3 months he has been in the care of my mother Paula Minor, who is on a fixed income. She has been caring for him using what income she has and what little Social Security and Pension my grandfather was receiving. We are trying to raise funds to cover the cremation and memorial services for him. The service will be in a week to a week and a half, so time is of the essence to get as much raised to cover the expense. If you have it in your heart to help, please donate.
Any funds raised above and beyond what will cover the memorial will be donated to the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, Illinois- my grandfather's alma matter.
