Hostetter Altadena Fires Community Fund for direct support

We're Nina, Julian, Elliott and Virginia Hostetter. Like so many in Altadena, we lost our home on January 8th, 2025 due to the wildfires.
While we aren't in immediate need of funds, we do know many people who are - our neighbors.
This Gofundme is for those who wish to donate to us as a way of helping the broader community.
Funds contributed here will go to those we KNOW who need help, as we get information. While we hope we won't need these funds personally, we eventually might.
Our friend Trent is administering this page for us, we've entrusted him with handling the business end of things here. We'll tell him where to direct the funds - please reach out to him with any admin questions, trentwolbe at gee mail dot com - we have enough on our plate right now to handle with our own affairs.
Extra information for those that want more detail:
- Funds are going to be given in the form of direct monetary payments - Venmo, Zelle, Paypal, etc or cash - to the Hostetters' personally-vetted neighbors and Altadena community members (as many of you know they are quite connected with lots of different types of people in Altadena). While we know the need throughout LA County is great, we're focusing just on people in the Altadena community the Hostetters know well.
- We plan to continue to raise funds through the end of January, or when we reach our campaign goal of $50k. If things are still truckin' after that, we'll consider extending to help more people.
- We will continue to provide updates on how the funds are being used, although we won't be publicly announcing where every penny is disbursed. Trent is privately accounting for every penny, though, and if you have any specific questions please let him know.
