Altadena Fires: Aid for the Aoki Family

Hello. My name is David Aoki, writing this on behalf of my parents, Wayne and Susan Aoki, lifelong Altadena residents. Like many people and businesses in the Altadena area, my family’s home unfortunately succumbed to the wildly unpredictable and destructive fires. While I am above all thankful for the safety of my parents, myself, and my cat having gotten out in time, the harsh reality of a total loss of the house my parents have owned for the last few decades, along with all of our personal belongings, is slowly beginning to sink in.

I’ve never been one to reach out for help when it’s something I feel can be handled on its own, though due to everything that’s happened, I could not think of a time, if any, that would warrant reaching out. Clothing, personal necessities, various medications, and medical equipment lost for Susan especially, are the biggest needs for the moment. I again feel blessed and thank God that my family and I are alive and well, and would greatly appreciate any help that could be given. Thank you.
