Altadena Fire Aid - Help the Elgabalawi Family Recover

As found in so many devastating stories that have unfolded over the last week in Altadena, the Elgabalawi family residence, along with everything that shaped their lives, was taken by the fire. Mary, Nabil, and Chris evacuated as soon as flames were visible from the house, with only the clothing they were wearing and their two dogs.

The Elgabalawi family has been an integral part of the Altadena community since 1976. Mary Elgabalawi served as a librarian at Elliot Middle School, John Muir High School, Blair High School, and Marshall Fundamental. Nabil worked at JPL and played a critical role in the launch of the first Mars Rover mission.
