Altadena Family Seeks Support After Tragedy

My name is Jasmin, I grew up in Altadena most of my life. I’ve worked at Jack in the Box in Altadena for about 12-13 years now and met my husband Andrew. Andrew grew up with his neighbors in Altadena since he was born and as he grew older, he has always been there to help around their houses, yards or even cars. Our first date was at the Altadena library and liquor store on Mariposa, the street which we’d always ride our bikes on. We now have 3 beautiful children. We’ve created so many wonderful memories and friends within the community and lost it overnight. Our home, our security and city is all gone. We are still in disbelief of everything and traumatized.

However, we are so grateful of everyone who has supported us as a family and community that words can’t express my gratitude to the people, first responders & firefighters. We’re raising money to help us get back on our feet again and bring us back to normalcy. I won’t be able to work the same since my home store is out of service and our kids will have to stick to virtual learning as long as needed. We are just trying to figure things out as we go, day by day. God bless you all!!
