Altadena Family Displaced by Fire, Needs Aid

:: I just want to thank everyone that has donated. My family and I truly appreciate you all.

My name is Mary Caskey. My family [Ethle (mom), Derrick (partner), Xaivyen & Zane (sons)] has lived in Altadena all our lives, and now we have been indefinitely displaced due to the Eaton Canyon fire. We are very fortunate and blessed that our home is one of the few that is still standing. Although everything in our home will need to be replaced due to the smoke damage, we are truly thankful that we made it out alive and we are together. However, we have a long journey ahead as far as recovery and putting the pieces of our lives back together.

My son, Xaivyen, is also currently out of school as his middle school, Eliot Arts Magnet, was one of the schools that were damaged.

This experience has been extremely heartbreaking. Altadena is the only home we have ever known and now, everything is basically gone. We are beyond devastated.

Any funds raised will be used to help our family with temporary housing accommodations and replacing everything inside of our home including furniture, clothes, appliances and anything else that has been damaged.

If you cannot donate, we just ask that you share our story and please keep us and everyone affected by the fires in your prayers.
