I am a first year Art Teacher at McNeil H.S. and I am struggling to pay my fees to the Alt. Cert. Program (iTeach), The payment plan is $400 a month for 10 months. I thought it wouldn't be a problem once I started getting my paychecks, but I was entirely wrong. I had been job searching the entire summer and was barely making ends meet for months, then I finally got this job, YAY! However all my money was depleted and then I didn't get paid for over a month after starting. I've already borrowed from everyone I could and just need to get through this 1st year so that I will be fully certified. I have never used any fundraising tool like this before and I'm not sure if it will work at all but I have to try something.
Every teacher I have spoken with says that the first year is the hardest, but it would be wonderful if I could focus on my job more and on making ends meet less. If you are able to help me out it would mean the world to me and my family!
