My name is Mohammad, and I’m from northern Gaza. I live with my family of eight—my parents and six siblings between the ages of 13 and 25.
We once had a home, dreams, and a sense of safety. But all of that was destroyed in a single morning when heavy shelling hit our neighborhood in ATuffah. Our house crumbled before our eyes, and we escaped with nothing but the clothes we were wearing.
We took refuge in a friend’s house—only for it to be burned to the ground days later. With nowhere to go, we found shelter in our grandfather’s home in eastern Gaza, where we remain today—crowded, under constant threat, and struggling to survive.
Then the war returned. Even louder. Even closer.
Since then, we’ve been living in fear and uncertainty. Food, water, electricity—these basic needs are now rare luxuries. Some of my siblings were injured while simply trying to bring flour home. Others live with trauma from the sights and sounds of war. And yet, through it all, we continue to hold onto one thing: hope.
We are raising $80,000 to give our family a chance at life—real life.
This includes the cost of:
Evacuation and travel for family members who have opportunities to work abroad
Emergency living expenses
Replacing the clothing, documents, and essentials destroyed in the bombings
Ensuring those who remain in Gaza can survive with dignity
We know that many are suffering, but we also know that together, we can help each other rise. Every donation, no matter the size, is a step toward safety, healing, and rebuilding.
From our family to yours—thank you for caring. Thank you for helping us survive.
