ALS walk - Red Deer Bower Ponds - JUNE 22nd

Wayne has now been living with ALS for 2 years. We are more than blessed that he is doing as well as he is. He has been on ALS medication since early in his diagnosis, and we partially attribute his slow decline on that. But more than that has been the love and support that has been provided every day by family and friends, as well as the ALS society itself. As our t-shirts in this picture says...."In this family, no one walks alone." And we have been surrounded by a cloud of precious people from day 1 that have walked this journey with us. We covet every prayer, every visit, every word of encouragement, every phone call. We love each and every one of you!!

The ALS society has been active in our home over these past 2 years. Some of the things that the ALS society has provided, totally free of charge, is a porch lift and a stair lift, totally installed, bed railings, hospital tables that raise up to make eating easier for Wayne, adaptive eating tools, etc. Probably even more important is the constant support, the phone calls and in home visits. The ALS clinic at the South Hill Campus has also been amazing.....every single person we see on our visits there provide the very best of care, are kind and compassionate, they laugh at Wayne's dad jokes:), and they encourage us so much.

We hope to see as many as possible at this years ALS walk at Bower ponds, June 22nd. You have no idea how much that means to us. I have set our fundraising goal at $5000.00 this year, but I think we can do better than that:) All donations are claimable on income tax, the ALS society will issue receipts.
