ALS Support of Julia Bradley & Family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Michael Bradley, and I have been for the past two years my mother's primary caretaker, PoA, and the person helping her through this terrible disease. She has been dealing with the aftermath of being diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a neurodegenerative disease that targets muscular nerves. Her condition has been steadily worsening, and within the past month, she has become near-fully paralyzed after a year of being paralyzed from the waist down and being functionally wheelchair-bound.
Now, with her condition steadily declining, she has begun to show signs of mottling, an indicator that her body has begun to shut down. Our hospice caretakers at Gentiva and Cornerstone Caregiving, who have blessed us with their assistance in taking care of my mother in her most needed time, have given us the optimistic window of about a week left to live.
I myself have had to stop attending school and pursuing my career in order to take care of her full-time, alongside my partner, who has done the same to be able to support her in the past year of our lives. We would like support for paying any funerary/burial costs, and after-passing support to give us time to grieve and recover from her passing, so we can begin to pick up the pieces in this trying time.
Any and all support is appreciated, thank you.
