Al’s journey, fighting Glioblastoma

As some of you may be aware Alec (Al) has unfortunately been diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma we have been told by nhs there is nothing they can do for him. Alec is a fit and healthy 62 year old man who has always been hard working and was working full time until only two weeks ago. Then finding out on 26th August 2024 that he had a brain tumour to then be told 9 short days later that it was terminal and would only have a few short months left of his life. Alec is a muched loved husband to Rona and a doting father to his 5 kids Jim, Laura Anne, Clare, Alexander and the baby of the family Marie Therese. As you can imagine this is the worst news imaginable and has absolutely shattered the family’s hearts. The only option the family has now is to try a combination of CBD and natural solutions treatment which is costly but worth trying to prolong Alec’s life and give him more time with his family. Fortunately for them someone has reached out to offer this treatment which has had success in other patients that have been given weeks to live with stage 4 glioblastoma and are still living years later. However there is no guarantee that this will cure him, but it’s the only hope to pro long his life and hopefully shrink the tumour, the family are being completely honest and upfront for what the treatment is for, unfortunately there isn’t enough evidence of this working in the UK for it to be a cure provided for this kind of disease, As you can imagine you would want to do absolutely anything for your loved one so I am hoping we can all come together for the brown family and take some of the financial strain off of them as the treatment costs £700 per month until there is no NED (no evidence of disease) which could take several months.
