Hi, my name is Sharon Kollmar. I am helping my longtime friend to raise money to bury her child. I have the heartbreaking task of telling you about Matthew Dylan Karl. At the young age of 19, on September 24, 2016, Matthew was diagnosed with ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Matthew sadly lost his life to ALS on April 1, 2022. Matthew is the son of my college friend Gina Matos Karl. We met in college before kids, when life was simpler. Gina is a single mom of four kids and with the high medical costs, she is faced with the inability to bury her son, thus I am raising money to cover his final expenses. Please, look into you heart and find the generosity to help this sweet mama bury her first born son. Matthew is survived by his mother, grandmother and three siblings, big sister Jamie, little sister Alexa and little brother Jayson who is called Bubba. His estranged father passed a number of years ago.
