ALS (Accepting Loving Support) for ALS Care
Donation protected
So many kind and wonderful people in our family's circle of friends have asked how they can be of help and service to Todd and his devoted caregiving mom, Pat, while they navigate the daily challenges and roadblocks caused by Todd's ALS diagnosis. While Todd has a great team of specialists helping to troubleshoot evolving physical and medical developments (and a remarkably positive attitude given the trials and tribulations of losing mobility and motor function), the reality is that there is a great and practical way for our community to help.
ALS care requires a tremendous amount of time and hands-on effort every single day, and that also means maintaining a house where all the tools, supplies and small comforts need to be in great supply. Rather than have you send flowers, food or cards, if you are so inclined, we'd love to channel your wishes into very practical daily routine help....whether it be new hospital bed sheets, the perfect blanket or pillow, medical supplies, the occasional cleaning help or most significantly, incremental days of in-home nursing care to give my mom a day to rest now and then.
By donating to this little campaign, you are propping up both patient and caregiver with your love and support in ways that free them up to have fewer chores and more restful nights.
To the folks at gofundme, I have established my mother, Pat (legally known as Mary E. Hughes), pictured above, to withdraw funds so that she can begin to troubleshoot at home needs immediately.
