He has received local acclaim for his work -including his portrayals of notable characters such as Troy Maxson (Fences), and Walter Lee Younger (A Raisin in the Sun).
Alphonso is affiliated with several theatres around the WNY area:
Paul Robeson Theatre • The New Phoenix Theatre • Alleyway Theatre • Parent Network of WNY • Raices Theatre • Alemaedae Theatre Productions
Recently Alphonso auditioned and was accepted into the Tom Todoroff Studio & Conservatory located in NYC (http://www.tomtodoroff.com). He hopes to become a working professional actor for the stage, television and film. He plans to relocate to New York City to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting. He believes that any dream is worth catching if dreamt, and all things are possible through Patience, Prayer and Hardwork.
In order to make this dream possible...
Alphonso needs your help! The TT conservatory does not accept financial aid and must be paid out of pocket. The program is 2 years and each year is $15,750. Seems unrealistic, but with God and faith - anything is possible. We are asking for any donation amount - small or large - EVERY DOLLAR HELPS. The funds collected will go towards both the cost of school and housing.
