ALPFA at UIC 51st San Antonio National Convention

ALPFA at UIC is a Student Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals For America. Our goal is to raise money to send University of Illinois Chicago students to the 51st annual ALPFA National Convention happening in San Antonio, Texas. The ALPFA National Convention brings together over 3,000+ professionals, students, and corporations from across the country to become motivated, inspired, and better business leaders. Members have the opportunity to receive internships, full-time offers, networking experience, and professional development opportunities with some of the top employers in the country.

Our members will receive valuable learning opportunities through skills workshops, networking, professional development, and the ability to interview for career opportunities/internships. This annual event has allowed ALPFA at UIC’s chapter to receive internships and full-time offers post-graduation. Monetary donations will allow us to support 30 of our organization members attending the convention happening August 20th-24th. These monetary donations will help cover the costs of the convention which include hotel room and flight/transportation expenses. We would not be able to do this without the support of our UIC community, ALPFA alumni, friends, and family!

This past year, ALPFA at UIC won the Outstanding Student Organization Award and the Distinguished Service Award at the Chancellor’s Student Service and Leadership Awards (CSSLA) ceremony in 2022.
