Alone at 20 years old and trapped in prostitution

Hi, my name is Jeanette Archer and I am fundraising for a young woman in Thailand that is trapped in prostitution.

For the sake of her privacy, I will call her Hope.

Hope found herself pregnant at 16 years old. Her family forced her to have the baby and then abandoned her at age 18.

Sadly, Hope had to leave her baby with a nanny and move away from her home village in order to earn enough money for her child’s needs.

Hope went on to work every job she could but, the costs became too much and eventually Hope was forced into prostitution at age 20.

Like most young women she has ambitions to be independent and of course the priority is to support her child’s needs.

Hope dreams of owning a nail bar so she can be at peace with a reliable income. A job that she can be proud of and can start the journey of healing. Healing the deep wounds of being shamed by her family and of course the pain of abandonment. This is what I want to help her to achieve.

Sadly, prostitution is a huge problem in Thailand and I am grateful that, for now, I have the opportunity to help save one young girl from this terrible situation. This life is deeply traumatic and wrapped in shame and a battle of self worth. Nobody should have to endure this, EVER.

Who knows, I may then be able to go on to help more but, for now, the universe has sent Hope into my life. So, this is where I will begin…
