Hello everyone!
Aloha Pediatric Dentistry will be going on a short-term dental mission trip to Guatemala this coming July 4th through the 11th. The trip is being led by Dr. Neil Katsura, a UCSF clinical professor and pediatric dentist who organizes yearly mission trips to Guatemala, Hawaii and the Philippines.
During our time in Guatemala, we will be working in the Panajachel community providing essential dental services to the more than 1,500 families living in the impoverished indigenous communities.
-patients travel as much as 2 hours one way to receive dental treatment-
Each child will receive an exam, cleaning, extractions and restorations as required, sealants and a fluoride treatment. In addition, children will also receive a toothbrush and toothpaste, along with brushing instructions and oral hygiene education.

We are hoping to raise $5000 for our trip in order to help subsidize the cost for three of the staff members at Aloha Pediatric Dentistry.
It is only through your support and financial contributions that we can make larger strides in our journey to provide preventative and restorative dental care to children that need it most.
