Aloha Spirit: Let's get our team to El Salvador

Aloha friends, family, and community,

We are the West Hawaii Explorations Academy (WHEA) Surf Team, and we’re fundraising for an incredible opportunity: a surf and education trip to El Salvador from June 2–10, 2025.

This journey is a special "last hurrah" for our senior surfers and a powerful cultural exchange experience. Alongside our coach, Mr. Swenson, and a chaperone, 7 students will travel to Las Flores Surf Club, where they’ll ride world-class waves and connect with a local school through a community outreach project.

Our students will present on:

Life in Hawaii, ocean etiquette, and ocean and surf safety.

This isn’t just a surf trip—it's a chance to grow as global citizens, give back, and celebrate years of hard work and teamwork in the water.

We’ve already fundraised most of the trip cost, bringing it down from $3,200 to just $800 per student. We are now seeking your help to cross the finish line and ensure every student can go.

Whether it’s $10 or $100, your support helps cover airfare, lodging, and program costs—and sends a clear message that you believe in our youth, their dreams, and the power of aloha.
